Lake Park is located just north of Gaither High School, at 17302 N. Dale Mabry Highway, bordered by Van Dyke Road on the north, Whirley Rd to the west, and Northdale to the south.

The park opens at 8 a.m. and offers a several miles of ideal running surface. Run out the back of the park to the bridge and then asphalt trail that connects to Northdale Park, and you have a great 6 mile (round trip) run. Be sure to take the asphalt trail all the way to the end. You’ll get to run across a bridge over a lovely pond.

Another option is to stick to the ‘off road trails,’ with roots. A good, several miles of single and double track is also available.

Parking: $2

Restrooms: Two locations

Water: Three kiosks on the par course trail
