“I first discovered Run Tampa as I googled "5k, Tampa" in search for an event that would hopefully finally be the motivation I needed to reach my short term running goals. What I found instead was a group that has become my family and the support and encouragement to exceed my goals while reaching for higher, lifelong goals at the same time. I was intimidated at first but it only took a few short minutes the first night before I felt comfortable and like I "fit in."
Everyone finds their place in Run Tampa. Deb Voiles is much more than a coach, she's a friend and mentor who really relates to her participants and encourages everyone to exceed at their level and compete with only themselves. Run Tampa is a great place for beginning runners, walkers, distance runners- literally anyone who wants to be active no matter what your goal. Whether you're trying to lose weight and have never even considered yourself an active person or you are training for your next marathon, Run Tampa is your answer.
I never would have thought that in less than 6 months, I'd have my sights set on a half marathon and have a few 5k's already under my belt.
