Awesome race! This was a very well organized event, the 7th annual, put on by WOW, World of Westchase. There are plenty of enthusiastic runners in and near Westchase, and I think they were all present. The 5K was followed by a 1K kids' race, which also had many entrants. Lots of great giveaways. Personally, I was thrilled to walk away with a gift certificate for a massage at Elements Massage. I was impressed to learn that the proceeds went to benefit literacy programs at Just Elementary School.

The 30th annual Rattlesnake 5 mile Run, on October 18th, was a wild and crazy ride. The race began uphill on grass, skirted a lake, went through a few back yards, wound single file through some woods, up steep hills, past orange groves, down hills, through neighborhoods, across soft sand, over many potholes, and finally delivered tired runners to a finish line in downtown San Antonio. There was even a 1 mile race with dog,' so even canines could participate. I enjoyed running the race and will put it on my calendar for next year, for sure.
